Art Submissions
Call out to local artists!
We are currently seeking art submissions for custom t-shirt designs to sell at upcoming Pride festivals and in our online fundraising store. Here’s your chance to put something unique out there! We want to create some non-typical designs while also supporting local artists. Proceeds are part of our fundraising efforts which help to keep our CDFC programs accessible.
Deadline for submissions: ongoing
What’s in it for me?
Chosen artists will receive:
A free t-shirt with your design
1-year free membership to Creative Diversity Friends Club ($20 value)
2 free Creative Arts sessions at CDFC ($80 value)
10% commission of net sales of your design from our online store
Artist credit and bio feature on our website
Mentor support to help you setup your own online store down the road, if that interests you.
What about Copyright?
We ask that you give us (Creative Diversity Friends Club) non-exclusive rights to sell merchandise with your design. This means you give us permission to use your design for fundraising purposes, but you still own the copyright.
Who can submit? Anyone who has some original ideas. We especially want to support artists from local marginalized groups.
Art by the people, for the people.
Do I need to be an artist? Nope! You just need to have an idea. Funny, quirky phrases could work too.
What do I submit?
Ideal: a 300 dpi vector-based digital file (PNG)
Also works: a high resolution pixel-based digital file (PNG)
Acceptable: a photo of a sketch or drawing of your ideas that we could convert into a vector-based digital file.
**please ensure that PNG files have a transparent background, to allow for background colours
How many ideas can I submit? As many as you like! But it must be your own original idea/design.
How many designs will you choose? We’re not sure yet – however many we like and think might sell. T-shirts are made-to-order and will be printed on demand through our Canadian fulfillment centre.
