About Us

Our Story

Creative Diversity Friends Club is a member-funded nonprofit society (founded Sept. 2019) located in North Surrey, BC.
Membership is required to access our programs and services, but we offer flexible payment options and do our best to keep things affordable.

We aim to create a safe inclusive place for those who might see the world a little differently.   We dabble in music, art, sewing, fibre arts, gardening, woodworking, and culinary arts, and offer workshops & private sessions for Life Skills and Creative Arts.

Here is a place where you can be your true self and learn in the ways that work best for you.  We believe that everyone has something to offer and support diversity in all forms.  We are open to teens, adults and kids (5+) and encourage different ages and skill levels to participate together.  Our workshops are limited to small groups with emphasis on being flexible and low-key.

Founders

We are two families with a dream to create a flexible and welcoming space for support programs, with a focus on life skills and creative arts. As parents of neurodivergent LGBTQ teens and young adults, we are especially interested in supporting diversity and building a community of like-minded individuals.

Our Space

Our unique space was created with intention, to encourage creative thinking and foster personal connection with others.

Founded by two families living side-by-side, weโ€™ve dedicated parts of our yard, detached garage and living space to create a unique home-based space for our members. It includes a tinker workshop, sewing room, music studio, kitchen & outdoor green spaces.
