Indigenous Book Club

Join us on our learning journey

Anyone interested in joining us on our journey to learn more about Indigenous culture, history and stories?  The more we learn, the more we realize how little we actually know and understand.

Topics we'd like to explore:  two-spirit identity, neurodivergence in Indigenous communities, local history of this land on which are privileged to be, the Kwantlen park burial grounds, indigenous plants.

Peer Support Group: PDA

Pathological Demand Avoidance

Informal Parent Peer Support group for those supporting kids/teens/adults with PDA.  Together we will explore resources, share our stories and make connections with others who "get" it.  We also welcome adults who are exploring their own PDA.

Led by parents with lived experience with PDA autistic teens. Please note we are not counsellors or mental health professionals. This group is not intended to provide medical or professional advice, but to be a safe space for us to connect in person and support each other.

 Dates:  Saturdays TBA

Peer Support Group

Gender Creative Kids

Checking to see if there is interest in a peer support group here in the North Surrey area, focused on parenting Gender Creative kids and navigating the various stages of this unique journey.

It would be a casual meetup led by parents with lived experience, maybe once/month in our CDFC Kitchen and lounge area.  A safe space to share experiences, resources and connect with each other.
